Okay, here's what you do if you absolutely will not see a doctor. First off, stop using dry toilet paper. The best thing to use are Huggies Baby Wipes, Non-scented. They are better than the average moist bathroom wipes because they are larger. Of course you can't flush them, you have to just throw them away. Clean yourself as thoroughly as possible with them and then let yourself air dry a little before getting dressed again. Do that each time you have a bowel movement (charming phrase isn't it?). If you let it stay too moist, you may find you have some itching later on, and with that you can use witch hazel, but I prefer benadryl spray, which you can spray a small amount on a baby wipe and use after you have cleaned yourself off. It's better for your skin than anything with cortisone in it. If you continue to have a lot of pain and bleeding, there is a device you can buy online, it is a small white tube-shaped thing with a cold-gel inside. You put it in the freezer (I know this sounds horrible, but it works, trust me) and when you are having pain and discomfort, you insert it you-know-where and try to keep it in there for about five or so minutes, until it is not so cold any more. The cold will help shrink the piles and ease the pain and probably ease the bleeding. The device is called Anurex, I think. It is a wee bit expensive but lasts a while and can be used over and over. Most importantly, it really helps.

If your piles feel better but you're still bleeding, you still might want to try a doctor to make sure its not anything more serious. The doctor has seen thousands of butts and yours is just another one, so no need to be too shy. :) Good luck!

yeah, if the problem is severe, you had best get over the shyness - it will only get worse - not better - on it's own. I had the fisher (which I believe is spelled 'fissure' [?]) and it got so bad i had to get surgery - some of the worst pain of my life - surgery helped virtually immediately. Bleeding is a signal from your body that there is a problem - unless you are donating blood to the Red Cross or something, or puposely being cut open as in surgery. I don't know about the piles, but it sounds bad. The doctor wants your money - and don't worry - they see it sh*t every day. Get it taken care of. Good Luck!

You didn't tell us how old you are, but piles and a-n-a-l fissure may be common complaints especially if you also suffer from constipation. So, relieving the constipation might help. However, bleeding that is present with your stools should always be investigated before the above benign conditions can be assumed, because they could also signify more nasty conditions such as cancer or colitis. So, I suggest that you try to overcome your shyness just this once to see a doctor about it, at least to have it examined. There are also simple operations that can 'cure' your piles if it is severe, so all the more reason to see a doctor. Good luck.

Depends ... is he is afraid of ALL doctors ... that's a tough one ... but would he be opposed to going to an herbalist, an accupuncturist, a Naturopath, there are so many other 'doctors' than just medical ones. Medical doctors tend to use "invasive" procedures while Alternative Doctors use a more Wholistic approach ( yes, I meant to spell it Wholistic - as in someone who looks at the WHOLE person ... not just parts ).

You are in extreme pain. How could the doctor be worse? See the doctor, have the surgery. Your life will be so much better.

Dude, SUCK IT UP AND GO SEE A DOCTOR!!! Your health is nothing to mess around with. Something like that could become infected and become truly serious and endanger your life. What's more important, a bit of discomfort or waking up to see tomorrow?

I had a fissure removed..you must go to the Doctor and get this taken care of. If you become constipated...the bacteria can get into your blood steam..you dont want that!
