Assuming it is PPP, it's generally considered a skin condition rather than a disease. It doesn't cause any problems, it's just a bit weird looking. And no, it's not contagious.

PPP often disappears as you age, but doesn't always.

Circumcision is usually not used as a remedy for PPP - firstly because the papules are often on the glans itself; secondly because it's pretty drastic surgery for a minor aesthetic problem.

It is possible to have the papules zapped off with a laser (yes, laser! cool!) - apparently it only takes a few minutes, doesn't require an overnight stay in hospital, and your penis will be back to pull working order in a few days. (Compared with about 6 weeks for circumcision!) However, as it's a cosmetic procedure, you'll probably need to pay out of pocket for it.

I have PPP's!!! Always thought they were normal, until i started watching porn :P But then none of my girl friends ever freaked out or seemed remotely put off so it never really bothered me... UNTIL some dumbass magazine did a feature on sexual diseases and wrongly slapped a pic of PPP's in the Genital Warts section!!! Stressed me out a lil, but nothing that google search didn't cure. Now they normally start appearing during puberty, i have vague memories of mine still forming and becoming more prominent when i was 15-16... So yours will probably continue to form and spread and you'll likely see changes. They can potentially spread all around the rim and on occasion onto the actual head a little bit too... They wont ever spread onto your forskin, and they're nothing to be worried about!!!! They're a normal physical variation!! Some people have moles... you have PPP's!! People who have been circumcised rarely every develop these which suggests a link, and curiously, the percentage of men with PPP's is apparantly higher within the black population! (though likely because less black men are circumcised) So i could say that i'm hung like a black man ;) ... i don't, that's just building people up for disappointment :P Seriously, mine are quite prominent and I've only had five sexual partners but it's never been a problem!!! Don't worry! Just think about all the money you'll save on studded condoms :P If you search them on wiki, they talk about the application of certain toothpastes diminishing the problem, and i have heard other testimonial evidence to support this... but that's only if you think it's a problem... it's not!

While they can still occur on the foreskin it's highly rare for PPP's to show up other places than on the head of the penis. Most likely if you have bumps on the shaft or behind the head of the penis when pulling the foreskin back it's likely it's either smegma from a severe lack of proper cleaning or it's normal Fordyce Spots that most people (male and female) have on their genitals. It's a normal thing that occurs on mucus membrane.

If it is PPPs there is no way to cure them other than going in to see a doctor. I know it sucks seeing a doctor for sexual issues but you should be man enough to suck it up and do to get this looked at and fixed. Trust me it's never as big of a deal as you think it's going to be.

You don't want to mutilate your penis to get rid of it. Removing the foreskin means removing a majority of your penile sensitivity. I'm pretty sure your going to hate reduced sexual pleasure more than a few bumps. Plus it's not neccessary to fix the issue.

Make sure it's not Fordyce spots or smegma, if it's not then just take a trip to the doctor and see what you can do to get rid of them.

Penile papules pearl: papules are small dome-shaped or appear only in the grooves of the penis; it is often confused with diseases transmitted sexually.

It's not contagious and fatal. It nothing serious, you do not need to see a doctor.

I would suggest this guide for some professional advice:

Bear in mind that PPP may be unsightly, but it isn't dangerous and in some cases diminishes or goes away with time.

However, one can understand how it may cause an issue when it comes to exposing your penis to potential sexual partners. Who wants to go through a detailed medical explanation every time they have sex with a new partner. Or as you stated, you simply just don't like the look of it for yourself.

This guide may offer you some help and guidance without the risk of self inflicted injury.

Ehm..

Penile Papules are small spots (white or skin coloured) and are found around the head penis. They are an embarassing problem but the good news is that they are not infectious and aren't related in any way to sexual activity and personal hygiene. Do not try to to squeeze them, as this could lead to scarring and infection. You can decide to have the papules removed for cosmetic reasons, using a laser to vaporise the spots. If you are looking for a home remedy visit this site http://papules.toptips.org

I think you should see a dermatologist. There is a laser procedure to remove these excrescences and it is usually an outpatient procedure, meaning you don't need to stay in the hospital. good luck.
