I am a software guy, aged about 28. Recently I had an abdomen scan and understood that I have only one kidney. other kidney did not grow. After a stressful thinking. I understood that I might have a kidney failure and have to sleep on dialysis bed in future.

But I want to push that situation, even far into future. First thing would be diet. So I want to understand how I should plan my diet, (strict vegetarian food). Somewhat like a diet of a kidney patient.

I have not medical training, so my opinion should not be considered expert. The experts I rely on for nutrition information include:

+ Dr. Neal Barnard

+ Dr. Dean Ornish

+ Dr. Joel Fuhrman

+ Dr. Russell Blaylock

+ Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn, Jr.

+ Professor T. Colin Campbell

These experts are published authors and all but one are nutrition researchers. They agree that the optimal diet for nearly every human on earth is a "whole plant based diet" that is low in oil and other processed ingredients. This is also known as the Revised American Diet (RAD). The Physician's Committee for Responsible Medicine published the four new food groups:

+ Vegetables, especially leafy greens for calcium, iron, and partial protein

+ Legumes (beans, peas, lentils)

+ Whole Grains (oatmeal, brown rice, buckwheat, quinoa)

+ Whole fruits (avoid commercial drinks and juices)

If you give up animal based proteins (meat, eggs, and dairy) make sure you have adequate Omega-3 fats, B12, and D. Excess animal proteins are difficult on kidneys and liver. Give up most if not all convenience foods, fast foods, and highly processed foods.

For recipes, I would follow the guidelines presented by the authors listed above. Sadly, our medical profession often basis recommendations upon the consensus reality rather than the best scientific evidence presented by peer-reviewed scientific studies.

Please do your own research to confirm or refute this diet as optimal for yourself. Every individual is unique and faces their own circumstances and health conditions.

My Doctor Told Me the depressing news - "Your Kidneys Are FAILING!"

My worsening kidney disease symptoms included:

- Nausea and vomiting and constant stomach upset

- Passing only small amounts of urine and stopping and starting while urinating

- Swelling in my ankles and lower legs

- Puffiness around my eyes with brain fog and moodiness

- Chronic fatigue and shortness of breath when exerting myself

- Loss of appetite and not wanting to eat at all

- Increasingly higher blood pressure

- Bouts of anxiety and depression

- Muscle cramps which were worse in my legs

That a friend of mine sent me a link to a website (http://NatureHomeCure.com) that helped his Mother. She was just like me, and was suffering with failing kidneys and experienced the same worries and fears I was going through. All I could do was try it and see if it worked.

Here's where the story gets a little strange. Two months later, Instead of my kidneys sliding down the slippery slope of kidney failure and getting progressively worse, they started to get better.

My Doctor could not believe how much improved my kidney function output had increased and my GFR was UP and creatinine levels lower. My kidneys were starting to work again, and removing all the toxins in my body. I got my life back!

Now, I am using this 100% all natural protocol which restored my kidney function and did it naturally, without the use of unnatural man-made pharmaceutical drugs or dialysis. In less than two months my kidneys were on the mend. Now six months later, My kidney's are back to normal again.
