Question:
Can you give me some input as to what these gastro-intestinal symptoms could be?

First, the disclaimer: although I am a U.S. citizen, I will not sue you if you give me incorrect input. Also, I am already aware that the most efficacious course is to get the input of a qualified physician, so there is no need to inform me of this ; )
Now that this is out of the way, let me explain my stomach/intestine symptoms. It usually happens in the morning when I feel something like cramps (painful, like gas) which I believe are in my intestines, but could be in my stomach. They occur at regualr intervals, as though in time with the process of my food going through my intestine. In order to alleviate this, I need to go to the bathroom with diarrhea symptoms. The whole episode will last maybe 2 hours or less.
This is happening at a frequency of about once a month. What do you think it could be? Any input will be appreciated.

Try suing me in the U.K Dear, this is an international site and anonymous.

However this sounds like an overactive colon maybe caused by IBS.

As it is infrequent look at what you ate the day before, many foods can do it, spicy foods, certain veg or fruits.

Start keeping a food diary to find the trigger.
