Question:
Do I have appendicitis?

I have pains on the right side of my abdomen which were constant from 4am to 9am today. Then they were dull pains with the occasional sharp pain every couple hours for 8 hours (which is till this point... 5pm the same day). These pains are dibilitating in that when I get them, I cannot move and if I move, they are worse. These pains that come on occasion, last for about 10 minutes then die down. I have a few of the other symptoms of appendicitis including diarrhea (yesterday), loss of appetite, nausea and the pains/tenderness on my right side and when the ride side is pushed. However I am wondering if this is not cramps, just really bad because I am within a few days of getting my period. I just can't decide if it is cramps because it is only on one side of my body but it is not unlike me to have very severe cramps, they have just never been this bad. I am struggling accepting the fact that it may be appendicitis because the pains are coming and going now like cramps may. What I want to know is because I have taken cramps pills (ex. Midol) and ibuprofen which seems to dull the pains to a tolerable state and I have taken anti-nausea, which has taken away the nausea, if it were appendicitis, would these symptoms in fact be disappearing? Also, what do you think it is... should I go see a doctor for potential appendicitis or am I just suffering from a really bad set of menstrual cramps?

Okay, please go to your doctor.

I had acute appendicitis and thought I just had a bad case of wind.

My pain started about 7months before I went to a & e, I had an all over stomach pain that was really bad, like wind but so bad that I couldn't stand straight.

I woke up one night in agony but again assumed wind or cramp (felt like I was going to give birth!) but the pain wasn't even on the right side by that point. The other major symptom was that I couldn't eat.

I didn't want to admit I might have appendictis, the emergency doctor pressed down gently on my left side of abdomen and released quickly and I jumped off of his couch in agony, I don't recommend you do this yourself as it can cause more damage- let the doctor do it.

They can also do blood tests to see if you have a surgicial infection.

Appendicitis is a funny thing, even in a&e I was ready to get up and leave and when they put me on a ward I still felt silly, as I thought it was wind.

Turns out my appendix had half-ruptured and I had a growth on my colon!

That's why I am asking you to please go to the doctor.

Best wishes,

Kara

The soreness could be on the r ight element. genuine low.I went to the scientific institution as quickly as a mutually as lower back thinking I had appendicitis. The dr. replaced into pushing on my ideal element and that i could scream everytime he could push down on my r.element. with out taking any blood or something he stated nicely this is not your appendics.I asked him how he ought to tell it replaced into'nt and he stated it could'nt harm whilst he pushed down on it even though it could particularly harm whilst he took the stress off. So thats the version between appedicitis or a an infection of a few style.

Go see a doctor. Appendicitis can burst and it will lead to a lot more problems! I would say this is appendicitis. Get it check.
